Baby Registry: our picks for Cookie

I've been getting tons of questions about our registry, being first-time parents we didn't have a ton of experience, so we spent a lot of time doing research on what we wanted. I asked fellow mommy bloggers and my closest friends, and one thing we could all agree on: don't overdo it and, get things you won't have to replace that often, get things that grow with Cookie. All the big ticket items we got ourselves and we took advantage of sales! So we used Babylist and created one unique registry. What I liked about Babylist is that we were able to add our Amazon picks and pretty much every store that we liked without having multiple registries.

One thing you’ll notice is that there’s a lot of our aesthetic, we love wood, grays etc. And even though we are big lego collectors, I will avoid plastic toys as much as I can.

Going places:

Considering that we live in a reasonably walkable town, we wanted a good stroller, we decided on the Uppababy Vista, it's the right size, a bit heavier than the Cruz but we wanted something that we could take on the trail with us.

Car seat: We went with the Uppababy Mesa , I love how it easy is to clip on and off the base in the car, works perfectly with our stroller.

Baby Carrier: Tula for a structured carrier, I got it during the Nordstrom sale and Jorge seems to like it. I’ll try it with my tiny human soon! And, also I got a Baby K’tan just in case, wraps scare me.

Crib: we found a super cute crib on Target, that goes perfectly with the room, I love this one too.

Rocking chair: I love this one by pottery barn but I found a way less expensive dupe at Target

Bookshelves: pottery barn kids! they’re super cute and sturdy and we got these too, they come in white and grey

Bassinet: after A LOT of research, back and forth, reading reviews, asking other moms we got the snoo by Happiest Baby, it is expensive but we got a good deal and if Cookie doesn’t like it we can return it.

Changing table: I love this one by Hatch Baby, we also got their white noise machine.

Books: Cookie’s bookshelves are filled with bilingual, fun, Star Wars, feminist, geeky books that we personally love.

Play time: we got the Play Gym by Lovevery and I’m also getting the play kits, I admit that we’re a big Lego collecting family but I’ll avoid plastic toys for as long as I can.

Lounging: my favorite thing was this Snuggle Me organic lounger, it’s super soft and most babies seem to love it.

Dresser: ours is an old one from Pottery Barn but, I found the closest one, we painted ours and changed the knobs to go with the overall decor.

Toys: my absolute favorite was Sebastian the Lamb by Cuddle and Kind, also, their mission is so good. I’m a big fan.

For the house

Bouncer: we hit the jackpot and found a Mamaroo from 4Moms on sale and my friend Lisa also lent me her baby bjorn. I’m still debating if getting a Rock n’ play will be necessary because we live in a three stories home.

High chair: the stokke high chair was my favorite since all my friends loved it!

Bottles: we went with a couple: the smilo and the comotomo, I plan to breastfeed as much as I can but, also pump so Cookie can have bonding time with Dad.

Nursing: a cute and comfy nursing pillow by Boppy and my insurance covered the pump I wanted.

Also, my kid has more clothes than I do and i’ll review most of them based on his preferences :D

Eventually I’ll review my favorite products and what my baby likes too!
